Kielan L. Commits to Georgetown University

WESTWOOD— Tuesday morning, the Geffen Academy athletic department celebrated senior Kielan L. and his commitment to continue his athletic career at Georgetown University next school year.

A standout diver, Kielan placed third at the CIF State Swimming and Diving Championships earlier this month and is also a two-time CIF Southern Section Boys Diving Champion. The No. 2-ranked college diving recruit from California, he has been a member of four consecutive Coastal League title-winning teams at Geffen Academy.

Locally, Kielan has trained with the Los Angeles Dive and program director Tom Stebbins. In Washington D.C., he will compete under the leadership of head coach John Carroll and diving coach Meg Tomayko.

“We can’t wait to watch Kielan compete in the Big East Conference next year,” Geffen Academy at UCLA Athletic Director David Collicutt said. “Georgetown is gaining not only an elite diver, but also an outstanding teammate and student-athlete. His accomplishments in and out of the pool have set a tremendous example for younger athletes in our community.”
