Kielan L. Repeats as CIF-SS Boys Diving Champion

MISSION VIEJO— Senior diver Kielan L. repeated as the CIF Southern Section Boys Diving Champion on Thursday, topping the Division Three field at Mission Viejo’s Marguerite Aquatics Complex.

Recording an overall score of 541.95, Kielan outpaced the second place finisher (373) by over 150 points, firmly establishing himself as one of the top divers in the Golden State.

“Kielan has cemented himself as one of the most decorated athletes ever at Geffen Academy,” Athletic Director David Collicutt added. “His consistent, high level of performance is remarkable and we’re incredibly proud of him.”

Defending his Division Three Southern Section crown, Kielan had previously tallied a Geffen Academy record 493.30 points in 2025. His record-breaking effort earns him an invite to next week’s CIF State Meet Qualifier at Mt. San Antonio College on May 5. While the Southern Section Championship features an 11-dive, 1- and 3-meter competition, the State Meet Qualifier will be a six-dive, 1-meter event. Kielan, who will continue his athletic career next school year at Georgetown University, will be honored along with the swimming and diving team’s six additional seniors on Thursday evening following the Coastal League Championships at UCLA Spieker Aquatics Center.
