The Geffen Academy Athletic Council is a student-led group of elected representatives from each grade level dedicated to strengthening the school’s athletic community. The Council promotes school spirit, supports a competitive and inclusive athletic program, and encourages a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness.
Through athletics, the Council fosters values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and ethical conduct while helping students develop physical, mental, and social skills. It works to expand opportunities for participation, ensuring that all students feel welcomed and engaged in sports.
As a leadership body, the Athletic Council empowers students to share ideas, collaborate with faculty and administrators, and actively shape the athletic experience at Geffen Academy. Members build skills in communication, organization, and teamwork while contributing to a positive, connected, and spirited school community. Students assist with athletic communications, event promotions, athlete recognition and help manage the spirit store.
