Bruins Hit Multiple PRs at Tiger Invitational
SOUTH PASADENA— Testing their talents at one of the state’s highest-caliber track and field competitions this past week, the Bruins hit multiple personal records at the Tiger Invite hosted by South Pasadena High School.
Sophomore Lila N. rocketed to a season-best 5:44.50 in the girls’ 1600m, while freshman Keira W. clocked a 2:39.77 PR in the 800m.
Junior Sadie K. also won her heat in the 200m, zipping past the end-line at 12.69.
Another impressive effort came via freshman Lenny Z. in the boys’ high jump (5’6″), earning him a fourth place medal. Junior Makena D. also hit a PR in girls’ discus with an 85′-00 mark.
Geffen Academy closed out the day with a sensational race for freshman Sebastian M. who ran the 3200m with a PR of 10:41.20.
The Bruins return to action Monday, April 20 for a Coastal League meet at Santa Monica High School. The competition begins at 3:00 p.m.
