LAKE VIEW TERRACE— Seventh grader Olivia L. earned third place at the Interscholastic Equestrian League (IEL) Medal Finals on May 15 at the Hansen Dam Equestrian Center in Lake View Terrace.

Olivia competed in Class 841b, the “OR IEL JV Phase II – Table II,2b – .90m” division, a show jumping event featuring fences set at .90 meters (just under three feet). The “Table II,2b” format includes an initial round followed by a timed jump-off for riders who complete the course without faults. She had previously placed seventh overall in JV competition at the IEL’s Fourth Show of the season, showing in Jumpers.

In addition to representing Geffen Academy in equestrian competition, Olivia also serves as a representative on the school’s Student Athletic Council, supporting student-athlete leadership and engagement across campus.
