WALNUT- Geffen Academy divers had an excellent outing on Saturday, competing at Mt. San Antonio College’s Winterfest meet.

Senior Kielan L. earned second place in the boys’ mixed height competition, recording 428.45 points. On the girls side, among 35 divers, junior Ashley K. finished 10th overall (329.25), while sophomore Christina X. placed fourth (378.65).

Geffen head coach Melissa Ribeiro was ecstatic with her divers efforts, noting that “all three earned CIF Southern Section postseason qualifying standards” at the meet.

The Bruins return to the pool next Friday when Geffen Academy travels to the West Covina Swimming and Diving Invitational.
