WESTWOOD- The Geffen Academy girls basketball team secured its third win of the season on Wednesday evening, defeating visiting Lennox Academy, 33-6, at UCLA SAC Gym.

Madison Y. ’29, Noelle P. ’29, and Rachel N. ’27 led the Bruins offensively, spearheading a 20-point first half that saw Geffen Academy take a 14-point lead into the break. Madison Y. ’29 led the Bruins with nine points.

Head coach Fernando Duran lauded the “total team effort,” recognizing the contributions of his pair of freshman: “Maddie and Katie (M.) performed amazing.”

The Bruins return to action Thursday afternoon, Jan. 8, when they take on California Academy of Math and Science (CAMS) on the road at Betty Ainsworth Sports Center at 4:00pm.
