WESTWOOD- Geffen Academy at UCLA’s varsity boys soccer team collected a victory and a draw to start the season, taking down Providence (Burbank) (3-1) before forcing a 1-1 tie against Channel League heavyweight Ventura after a second-half goal.

In the win over Providence, Lucas F. ’26, Ethan A. ’28 and Jonah O. ’27 hit paydirt, while Owen S. ’27 had the clutch play against Ventura, launching a ball from the top of the box into the bottom right corner of the net.

Geffen Academy is yet to concede an open play goal.

The Bruins host Wildwood for their homecoming match next Friday, Dec. 12th, at 5:30pm at Drake Stadium.
