WESTWOOD- Geffen Academy will travel to Pasadena on Wednesday, February 11, to take on Maranantha High at 4:00pm in the opening round of the CIF Southern Section Division 7 playoffs.

The Bruins enter the postseason contest sporting a 9-3-2 overall record, while Maranantha brings a 7-11-5 resume to the pitch.

Geffen Academy has won four straight entering the tilt, including a 2-0 takedown of Vistamar and 4-0 muting of Wildwood. Finishing third in the Olympic League, Maranantha lost its final regular-season match to Village Christian, 1-0, and defeated Heritage Christian, 2-0, the game prior.

Wednesday’s victor will advance to a second round match on Friday, February 13. Match time for that contest is TBD.
