| Geffen Academy at UCLA is a university-affiliated school for students in grades 6-12 that opened in the Fall of 2017.
Situated in Westwood, the school has approximately 620 students and is embedded in the fabric of the Bruin Community. Geffen Academy has a rigorous academic program, and the athletic program is a dynamic, integral part of a student’s educational experience. We have two separate but concurrent competitive athletic programs. For our middle school, we compete in the Pacific Basin League, against 15 local independent schools, and our high school team competes in the Coastal League under the governance of CIF Southern Section. |

The academic year is separated into three distinct seasons [Fall/Winter/Spring]
The sports offerings are very similar for both the Pacific Basin League and for CIF. Geffen Academy also offers an Equestrian team that competes in the Interscholastic Equestrian League IEL and a Fencing Program that competes in the Southern California Scholastic Fencing League SCSFL |
| Our programs have been incredibly successful since inception.
The Middle School Program focuses on discovery, participation, and teamwork. Our High School Program has already won multiple CIF Championships and a considerable number of league titles. |

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS LEAGUES
The Coastal League incorporates eight local high schools, and falls under the jurisdiction of the CIF Southern Section. There is a sprinkling of schools in the West Los Angeles area, and a few in the South Bay. All schools are coed, with a similar enrollment number. |

In the sport of Girls’ Tennis, Geffen Academy at UCLA cross-leagues into the Ocean League.
This league has a different cross-section of larger, local, public high schools. |

The Pacific Basin League [PBL] is predominantly based in West Los Angeles. All but one school is coed. |

Geffen Academy’s UCLA affiliation and proximity to the world-class medical facilities in Westwood has its advantages.
Our on-site Sports Medicine Team puts our student-athletes at the center of everything they do. Our full-time Athletic Trainer is networked with resources on the main UCLA Campus and through the UCLA Health network. Our Strength & Conditioning Program supports our student-athletes by providing a pre-season workout regimin under the guidance of our full-time CSCS Educator. |
| Every year CIF honors the teams with the highest GPA across the entire state. In the Southern section there are around 560 schools, and there are close to 1600 schools in the state.
